First launched in Texas in the 1970s, The American Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Ball offers a one-of-a-kind experience to all attendees. This history-making, volunteer-driven event is generously supported by the area's top corporate and medical organizations.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing the suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Since our Research Program began in 1946, the American Cancer Society has devoted about $3 billion to cancer research. By funding ground-breaking research, the American Cancer Society has contributed to many important discoveries that have led to a better understanding of cancer and cancer treatment.
